Setting up an HTTP stream with Aiir Streaming
Aiir Streaming uses the secure HTTPS protocol to deliver audio streams by default.
This is recommended as it ensures audio will be supported on modern devices and in the latest web browsers, which have dropped support for mixed security content (HTTP resources loaded by an HTTPS page).
However, some legacy decoding hardware requires an HTTP-only stream to function correctly.
If this applies to you, email Aiir Support at support@aiir.com and request an HTTP stream for your station.
We can set up a dedicated Icecast stream that isn't routed through our CDN which redirects stream requests to a suitable server. This will allow HTTP-only traffic to tune into your stream.
