Setting up Alexa skill pre-roll ads

Aiir's content management system makes setting up pre-roll ads for your radio station's Alexa skill easier than ever.

To create a pre-roll advert for Alexa:

1. Login to the Aiir CMS and click on "Ads" from the main menu.

   
   

   

2. Create a new ad.
3. Enter a name which you will use to identify it on the back-end of Aiir's CMS.

4. Associate it with a campaign. You can create a new campaign and client if you need, or search for one which you previously created.

   
   

   If you have multiple stations/skills and want to limit the pre-roll ad to just a particular one, this can be managed within the ad campaign.

5. Set the dates you want the pre-roll ad to run between if required.

   
   

   

6. Choose the "Alexa Skill Pre-roll" ad type

   
   

   

7. Choose whether you want to upload an audio file to play, or a text-to-speech message for Alexa to read.

   
   

   

8. Upload an image, title and subtitle to show while the pre-roll ad is playing on supported devices like Amazon's Echo Show.

   
   

   

9. Click the blue "Create ad" button at the bottom of the page and your pre-roll ad will begin playing when someone tunes into your Alexa skill or once the scheduled start date you chose has passed.
