WebVT Browser is stuck on the loading screen. What should I do?

This issue has only been reported on Windows devices.

Occasionally, if your last WebVT session closed prematurely and the Browser app didn't close correctly, temporary files can be left in your Windows AppData folder which remain even if you uninstall and reinstall WebVT Browser.

These can, in some cases, prevent the application from loading correctly. Affected users will see the PlayoutONE loading screen appear, but WebVT Browser won't open beyond that.

To fix this, navigate to the following folder and delete the contents of the PlayoutONE-WebVT-Browser folder:

C:\Users\[Your username]\AppData\Roaming\PlayoutONE-WebVT-Browser

Once the cached files have been deleted, try to re-open WebVT Browser. It should now load as expected.
