WYSIWYG Editor

A WYSIWYG Editor (short for What You See Is What You Get) is a webpage content editing application, embedded in a web page.

Aiir uses an editor called CKEditor. It is used across the platform, for example to create and edit a news article, or a page in Page Manager.

The editor contains useful tools for formatting text, viewing HTML source and pasting from Word.

Content that is copied from a Microsoft Office product (particularly Word and Outlook) contains formatting designed for those products, however it is not compatible with web page HTML. For this reason, it should be stripped out before pasting it directly into the editor. The editor has a useful Paste button which performs this process for you.

The editor in Aiir is always accompanied by buttons to insert items from Media Manager and to insert links from the pop-up Page Finder.
