Securing your Aiir account
It's important to keep your Aiir account secure, so ensure you choose a password that only you know, and is complex enough so it can't be easily guessed.
You can change your password by going to the account menu in the top-right, then Security settings.
Account sharing
We strongly recommend you don't share an Aiir account with other colleagues; it is best practice for each member of staff to have their own account.
- You can have your own password which is likely to be much more secure than one shared between multiple people.
- The account can bear your name, so other users can see exactly who has made changes in the Activity log. If you contact us, we can also see who we're communicating with, avoiding confusion.
- You can personalise the account to suit your needs, for example choosing Widgets on the Home page.
- You can enable two-step authentication (explained in the following section) to add further security to your account.
Two-factor Authentication
Two-factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. It takes a few minutes to enable, and this means that to access your account, in addition to your password you also need a code which you can get from your phone.
We recommend using a password manager app like 1Password, or you can get Google Authenticator from the app store for free.
Once you have it, you will be able to scan the code shown on the screen in Security settings.
In future when logging in on a new computer or device, after entering your password, you'll be asked to enter a six-digit code which appears in the app.
