Importing Listener Club members
If you already have a listener database, you can import this into Aiir and use it to form your Listener Club.
Creating a CSV file
CSV files are a universal format for sharing data, with values separated by commas for the ease of transferring between systems.
If you are unsure how to export a CSV file, search for a guide specific to your previous database software.
You will need to be able to export the data as a CSV file with at least these columns:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
You can also include optional fields if you have them:
- Phone number
- Date of birth
- Gender (Use "f" for female, "m" for male, "o" if another gender is specified, or "n" if they would rather not say)
- Specified gender (when "o" is given for Gender)
- Address (first line, including property name/number and street)
- Town/City
- Post / ZIP code
- Country (formatted using ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 two-letter codes)
- Whether they have opted-in to receive newsletter/marketing emails (use "1" or "Y" if yes, everything else will be considered to mean no)
Before importing any personal data to Aiir, make sure the data is compliant with your local data protection laws. Find out more
Importing your CSV file into Aiir
Once you have created your CSV file with your listener data, go to the Listener Club within Aiir and click 'Members' at the top of the page.
From here, you can manually add individual members or click 'Import Members...' to upload your CSV file.
During the upload process, you can then map each column within your CSV file to one of the personal information fields.
The newly added members may not appear immediately as the import process continues behind the scenes.
