Scheduling editions in Audio.co

You have two options for creating a new edition: manually generating them or scheduling them automatically.

💾 Exporting manually

To manually generate an edition, simply open the "three dots" menu in the upper-right corner of a script. Click this menu and select "Generate new edition" from the dropdown.

Did you know you can add multiple schedules to enable editions to be published through the night?

⏲️ Schedule automatic updates

New editions can also be set to generate and export automatically - either on a schedule or as and when stories from your chosen sources update.

To set up automatic updates, click the "three dots" menu in the upper right corner of a script and select "Schedule" from the dropdown.

On the scheduling page, switch the "New editions of this newscast should be generated..." from "Manually only" to "Scheduled" This will enable the "Add a schedule" option. Click this button to create a schedule.

After setting up a schedule, you'll see exactly when the editions will be generated, using the timezone from your team settings by default.

🔗 Update when source stories change

To automatically generate an edition whenever the source RSS feeds you use are updated, follow the steps above to reach the scheduling page, then tick "Generate an edition when the source is updated."

When this option is enabled, a new edition is generated when even minor changes are made to your source material. This could potentially result in a significant amount of audio generation usage if you are not using a source set up specifically to be used for AI-generated content.
