Troubleshooting issues with Aiir Connect
Aiir Connect is designed to run quietly in the background alongside your third-party playout automation software, keeping your Aiir website, app or skill updated.
On this page, we've collated a few potential issues and explain how to fix any jobs that are not working as expected.
Not authenticated
If you see a job is not able to run because of an authentication issue, it may be the Aiir account you added to Aiir Connect has been removed, or no longer has access the required permissions.
If the account should still have access to the linked organisation, you can reauthorise it by going to Accounts > Edit > Reauthorise and entering up-to-date login details.
If the account no longer exists (for example, if it belonged to a former team member), you can add a new account, switch jobs to use that account, then remove the old one.
Missing option to reconcile with Scheduler
If you have created a Scheduler job in Aiir Connect and don't see any options relating to reconciliation, it is because your automation system currently does not produce reconciliation reports required by music scheduling systems like Aiir.
Contact your automation system vendor to request reconciliation reports as a new feature. We have published the specification used by Scheduler here.
Now playing metadata not updating
Check the metadata file Aiir Connect is monitoring is still being updated by your automation system. Connect will push updated metadata to Aiir as the file is modified.
