Adding Command Markers To An Item

Sometimes you may want a command in PlayoutONE to trigger, but only at a specific point in the audio when it plays back. For example, you might need to trigger a command to switch an external news source on but only once the produced intro on your news bed has finished.

You can achieve this in PlayoutONE by setting a Command Marker.

1.	In the PlayoutONE Media Finder, right-click on the item you wish to set the command marker on and click Edit. This will open the Media Editor.
2.	Go to the Commands tab, then click on the Markers button
3.	Click on the place in the Waveform where you wish to place the marker. Then, click Add Marker At Current Position, this will open the settings window for this Command Marker.
4.	Give the Command Marker a name and then select the command you wish to trigger on this marker. More information on the PlayoutONE Commands can be found here.
5.	Repeat steps 3 and 4 if you need to place more than one Command Marker on the audio. When you're finished, click on the Save button.
