Setting up split commercial breaks
PlayoutONE allows you to create split commercial breaks so different audiences will hear ads that are relevant to them.
The method for doing this varies depending on which third-party music scheduling software you are using.
If you are using Music 1, set the break type as 'Split' and the log will work its magic when imported.
If you are using a different third-party music scheduler, you will need to insert a command in order to trigger a split commercial break:
CMD:ABK:HH:MM:DURATION
This is formatted like:
HH | Break start time in hours (24-hour clock) |
MM | Break start time in minutes |
DURATION | Length of the break in milliseconds. |
For example, if an ad break was at 8:15pm and two minutes long, the command would read:
CMD:ABK:20:15:120000
