Re-importing logs into PlayoutONE

Auto Importer makes it simple to automatically load logs from music or traffic scheduling systems into PlayoutONE.

DPL/TPL log files are exported to a specified folder, which Auto Importer watches for changes. When a new file appears in the folder, Auto Importer will try to import it into your PlayoutONE station.

If the file is successfully loaded, it will be moved to the 'Imported' subfolder within the original log folder. If it cannot be loaded, it will be moved to the 'Failed' subfolder.

🔄 Re-importing logs

If you need to re-import logs which have previously been imported to PlayoutONE, follow these steps:

  • Go to your PlayoutONE Import folder. (This will usually be C:/PlayoutONE/Import)
  • You may have sub-folders set up for different Auto Importer jobs (music logs, traffic logs, audio etc.)
  • Go to the 'Imported' folder which contains the log file you wanted to re-import.
  • Find the log file you need in the 'Imported' folder and move it back up to its parent folder.
Drag the log file you previously imported back up to its parent folder and Auto Importer will attempt to re-import it.

When you do this, Auto Importer will try to bring it back into PlayoutONE.

If the import job is successful, the file will be moved to the 'Imported' subfolder again. If anything goes wrong, it will be moved to the 'Failed' subfolder.
