'The version of Microsoft SQL Server you are running is incompatible with PlayoutONE'

PlayoutONE version 5 or later requires Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or later. If you have recently tried upgrading from PlayoutONE v4.10 or earlier, you may have encountered a warning that you need to update your installed version of Microsoft SQL Express before being able to update PlayoutONE.

To update to the latest version of Microsoft SQL Server:

1. Open Monitor, go to the 'Main Settings' screen, then select the 'Backups' tab and back up your PlayoutONE SQL database.
2. Download the latest version of SQL Express from Microsoft's website.
3. Run the installer you just downloaded.

4. Choose the option to 'Upgrade from a previous version of SQL Server'.

   
   

   

5. Allow the upgrade to complete, and then restart your computer.
6. Try upgrading to the latest version of PlayoutONE again.
