Creating predefined commands in PlayoutONE
PlayoutONE allows you to create "predefined commands", which can carry out a command and optional variables.
For example, instead of having to schedule PLAY FILE C:/Audio/news.wav, you could create a bespoke PLAY NEWS command which does the same thing.
Creating a predefined command
- Open the Command Manager from PlayoutONE's Launcher.
Press the + button in the top-left to create a new command.
The Command Manager shows all the commands available in PlayoutONE. Search for the command you wish to use. For example,
STREAM LOAD.
Choosing which command your new one should be based on. - Give your predefined command a "friendly name" which you can schedule to carry it out.
Enter any variables which will apply to this predefined command. For example, the URL of a stream to load.
