Integrating Radio Workflow with PlayoutONE

If your station uses Radio Workflow, you can easily link it up with PlayoutONE 5.2 or later to import and reconcile traffic logs or use Radio Workflow's Audio Dubbing feature.

To get started, in Monitor, go to 'Station Settings', then click the 'Miscellaneous' tab. You'll see a section to configure your connection to Radio Workflow.

Start by pressing 'Authenticate' and logging into Radio Workflow in the window that appears.

Select the station in Radio Workflow that matches the station for which you're configuring settings in Monitor.

You then need to select which Auto Importer job fetches your traffic logs for reconciliation.

If you use Audio Dubbing in Radio Workflow, you can create an audio ingest profile in Auto Importer, which will link your two systems.

Once configured, you can export your logs by locking the log in Radio Workflow. Within 60 seconds, they will be available to import into PlayoutONE.

📤 Exporting from Radio Workflow

If you edit the log and want to re-export it, then go into Radio Workflow’s daily log section and choose the re-export log option in the cog wheel menu next to the log. The log will likely be located inside the unreconciled section, if it is in an unlocked state, you just need to lock it again, this process is the same as the process you would have done inside Radio Workflow's workstation.

To transfer audio, first upload it into the project. Then, move the project into the dubbing work queue and ensure that the spot status for each spot is changed to 'Audio Approved'. If the station profile is enabled in PlayoutOne, you will see the 'Dubbed On' status update as PlayoutONE retrieves the audio.

To re-export an audio file, remove the station from the 'Dubbed On' section. The 'Dubbed On' section is located at the bottom of the 'Edit Line' screen, which you can get to by clicking on the spot title inside the traffic order.
