Libraries, stations and outputs

Aiir Scheduler is our web-based music scheduling service, making managing your stations' logs easier than ever. You can use Scheduler to programme multiple stations. Each one gets:

  • 1 library
  • 2 outputs

If you want to set up additional libraries or outputs, you can easily add more by managing your subscriptions.

If you're new to Scheduler and aren't sure how many libraries, stations or outputs you require, this page will give you a quick explainer.

🎵 Libraries

A library contains all the audio, clocks, logs and rules you create to schedule your radio stations.

You can share the same library between multiple stations, using the same centralised audio database. This means items will have the same metadata, including cart/system IDs, but they can be scheduled differently on each station.

You can also create multiple libraries if licensed.

📻 Stations

If you've used Aiir before, you will likely be familiar with stations. If you already have a website, mobile app or other service with us, you will already see your stations ready to associate with a Scheduler library.

Stations can pull from a shared library, but have their own seperate clocks, rules and logs.

While you can create as many stations as you need in Aiir, only two can be linked to Scheduler for each license you have.

🔈 Outputs

Station outputs are the destinations Scheduler will export your music logs after they have been generated.

Outputs can be manual file downloads (where you will be prompted to save a file when you press 'Export') or automated using your prefered cloud storage provider.

You can also output the same logs in formats recognized by different playout systems.

For example, you may own a radio group which recently acquired another station using a different playout automation system. Creating outputs for each required format allows you to export the same logs in native formats required by leading playout systems.
