Syncing between PlayoutONE and MusicMaster

PlayoutONE allows you to easily sync your station's library and music logs with MusicMaster via its Nexus sync application.

On this page, we'll set out what does and does not sync between PlayoutONE and MusicMaster via Nexus.

🔗 Linking PlayoutONE and MusicMaster Nexus

To allow PlayoutONE to talk to MusicMaster, you need to have its Nexus application running on your MusicMaster server.

Contact MusicMaster support if you need help setting up Nexus.

Once Nexus is up and running, you can go to PlayoutONE's Auto Importer and create a new job, selecting the 'MusicMaster Nexus' type.

From there, you can tell PlayoutONE which server and port Nexus uses, any categories to ignore, and which fields to map:

🤷🏼‍♂️ What can be synced between PlayoutONE and MusicMaster?

Once you have both applications configured with the corresponding fields mapped, changes made in either PlayoutONE or MusicMaster will be reflected in the other.

UID An item's UID can be updated from PlayoutONE or MusicMaster
Title An item's title can be updated from PlayoutONE or Scheduler.
Artist An item's artist can be updated from PlayoutONE or Scheduler.
Filename An item's genre can be updated from PlayoutONE or Scheduler.
Category An item's category can be updated from PlayoutONE or Scheduler.
Intro
The Intro shown in MusicMaster will match what is set in PlayoutONE.
Extro The Extro shown in Scheduler will match what is set in PlayoutONE.
Royalties Album, Composer, Arranger, Publisher, Label, catalogue number and ISRC are fully synchronised.

You can create your own database columns with any name in MusicMaster, which can be mapped to corresponding fields in PlayoutONE.
