What are _hp links on my website?
Websites created using Aiir's CMS contain a hidden security measure known as a "honeypot". It's a hidden link, only visible to bots scanning your website and not to normal visitors.
In a site's robots.txt document, the honeypot link is set to "disallow" access, so any bot visiting it is acting against the instructions, allowing us to identify malicious traffic and block it.
The page, which is intended to divert malicious traffic away from your website, is sometimes detected as a link in SEO reports.
Since the honeypot was originally added, we have also upgraded to a newer firewall system, which means it is no longer required and is effectively dormant.
