AutoDJ
PlayoutONE AutoDJ is only available in PlayoutONE Standard
The PlayoutONE AutoDJ is not to be confused with your traditional music scheduling package.
Whilst a regular scheduling package creates hourly logs based on clocks, the AutoDJ in PlayoutONE works on a ‘template’ system and builds playlists on the fly at the start of each hour. AutoDJ is designed to give you a quick and easy way of getting a basic playlist scheduled. For more complex scheduling, rules and clocks, you'll need to pair PlayoutONE with an external Music Scheduler.
This article is for PlayoutONE Standard only
Creating an AutoDJ Profile
- To create an AutoDJ Profile, firstly open up the AutoDJ Config window by heading to PlayoutONE Launcher>AutoDJ Config
- Give your profile a name by entering it into the box on the top left of the window
- To add items to the newly created playlist, press the + icon and then select what category or type of item you would like in the first column
Option Name | Description |
Build Full Profile | This option builds the entire AutoDJ Profile at the start of the hour and then doesn't add any more items until the start of the next hour. When this isn't checked the first 10 items from the AutoDJ Profile will be scheduled, and then as each item plays, the next item will be scheduled. This should be checked if you are using hour markers such as RUNTOTIME or a SOFT/HITMARKER, for more information on this please see this article: Markers |
No Artist Sep | This turns off any Artist Separation rules that have been setup for any items that are within the profile |
No Title Sep | This turns off any Title Separation rules that have been setup for any items that are within the profile |
