Unable to open a PlayoutONE window

This article applies to PlayoutONE version 4.10 or earlier. In PlayoutONE v5, you can use the Layout Manager to save and restore window layouts.

Sometimes Windows can have a bit of a wobble, and when you try to open a Window such as the Playlist/Log, Media Finder or Quick Keys it doesn't appear. This is because Windows opens this Window on a screen that doesn't exist. There's an easy way to fix this, though:

  1. Hover over the main PlayoutONE application icon on your taskbar


  2. Right-click on the top-left corner of the window that you can't see


  3. Choose 'Move'


  4. Press the left arrow key on your keyboard


  5. Move your mouse (the window will have snapped to your cursor position)
  6. Select the position where you would like the window to be docked.
