How to enable your PlayoutONE Keyboard

If you have purchased one of our PlayoutONE Keyboards, it's really easy to start using it in your studio:

  1. Connect the PlayoutONE Keyboard to your studio computer
  2. Open PlayoutONE's Launcher, then go to 'Settings' and 'General'.
  3. Tick the option to 'Enable keyboard shortcuts'

Some versions of PlayoutONE call this setting 'Enable PlayoutONE Keyboard'.

Once you have enabled keyboard shortcuts, you will see the keyboard icon on the top of your PlayoutONE window lit up in green.

When this setting is enabled a program called PlayoutONE Keyboard Monitor is opened, this program sits within your system tray and monitors for key presses, which then passes commands on to PlayoutONE.

If your keyboard isn't working check to make sure the Keyboard Monitor application is running. If it is not, you can manually open it by going to: C:\PlayoutONE\Modules\Keyboard Monitor.exe
