Importing a Simian library into Scheduler
In Aiir Scheduler, you can import your existing music library from a third-party playout system like BSI Simian. Simply follow these steps:
- In Simian, open the Log menu and choose 'View Event Logs', then click 'Affadavit Generator'.
- On the 'Generate Affadavit Report' screen, add the fields you wish to export to Aiir Scheduler, including:
- Cart Name/Number
- Title
- Artist
- Category
- File Path
- Tick 'Add column title line to output' and 'Only include the following categories', ensuring Audio is selected. Make sure 'Enclose fields in quotes' is unticked.
- Select as many event logs as you wish to include in your export. Duplicate files will be ignored.
- Change the Save Path to a file ending in .tsv, then press 'Generate Report'.
- Once you have a copy of your library file, go back to Aiir Scheduler and upload it. If you are during the initial setup process, you can do this at Step 5. If you already have a library, you can go to 'Settings' > 'Import a library'.
Select 'Other' as the library type and choose your TSV file from Simian.
The 'Other' option allows you to upload a TSV file, such as that produced by Simian. - Once imported, your music library from Simian will be available to use in Aiir Scheduler.
